Natty Background

With a career spanning nearly four decades, South London-born Matthew Raine, known as MR NATTY, is a distinguished fashion barber and stylist. He has designed runway looks for major brands like Martin Margiela and Prada and collaborated with stars such as Sam Smith and John Galliano.

Mr. Natty started his journey as a working-class teenager , inspired by new romantic, punk, and Teddy Boy cultures. After an eight-year apprenticeship with Vidal Sassoon and St James Barbers, he developed his own unique style and created a range of grooming products.

Beyond his career, Mr. Natty is dedicated to adventure. Whether hiking to Everest Base Camp, surfing, establishing a fruit forest in the jungle of  Costa Rica, climbing remote parts of Mojave and  Colorado, bike-packing across the US, or running ultra-marathons, MR NATTY embodies a spirit of exploration and excellence.

"I started MR NATTY for myself because I couldn’t find the right products for proper geezers. Twelve years ago, when I made my first samples , people laughed, but I knew it made sense."
